On February 9, 2026, Dr. Arnold Victor Signer, age 81, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by family and love. He was born on February 2, 1945 to Marilyn (Breckstein) and Allan Signer in Miami, Florida. Soon thereafter, the family relocated to Lakeland, Florida where Arnie was raised and graduated from Lakeland Senior High School. He attended Emory University in Atlanta followed by the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland.
Arnie was a retired Podiatrist who practiced in both South Florida and Jacksonville, Florida. He served as the President of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association for two years, and he enjoyed his profession and keeping up with colleagues. Arnie married Susan Cooper (Gertrude and Moses) on November 26, 1966 in Orlando, and they shared almost 60 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving husband, dedicated father, grandfather, brother uncle and friend to many. Arnie was a devoted Atlanta Braves and Miami Hurricanes fan and loved sports.
He is survived by his wife Susan, three children including son Greg (Lynn) of Orlando, Florida, daughter Abby Gleicher (Brian) of Potomac, Maryland, daughter Joy Farnsworth (Gil) of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and sister Mona Signer (Robert McCann) of Potomac, Maryland. Arnie also has four grandchildren Alex Gleicher, Lucas Signer, Molly Gleicher, and Jackson Farnsworth who were the loves of his life.
Funeral Service for Dr. Signer will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in the Jacob "Yank" Frank Memorial Chapel at Temple Israel Cemetery (9302 Morton Jones Road, Gotha, Florida with Rabbi David Kay officiating. Following the service Shiva at the home of Greg & Lynn Signer. May he rest in peace and may his memory always be a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Arnold Signer's name to the Alzheimer’s Association at donorservices.alz.org.
