Dr. Mandel Bruce Miller, 71, died on Saturday, January 24, 2026 after many post-op complications following liver cancer surgery at Orlando Health. He was an incredibly devoted husband, father, grandfather and physician.
Born on August 14th in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Miller attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned his medical degree from Cebu Doctors’ College of Medicine in the Philippines. He and his wife, Susan, met while working at MacNeal Hospital in Chicago and were married a few years later in 1985. They moved to the Orlando area in 1987 where he worked as a doctor of Family Medicine for almost 40 years.
Known as “Manie” to those closest to him or “Doc” to his many patients, he was exceptionally caring. He always went above and beyond not just for his family, but his friends, patients, and anyone who needed him. He showed his love by cooking and baking for others, known for his brownies, brisket, fresh bread, and never letting a birthday go by without a cake made from scratch. He had a wonderful sense of humor and great taste in movies. He was the true definition of a mensch, and there is not a single piece of him that will not be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Susan (Kyger), daughters Lila (Jonathan) Toub of Arlington, Massachusetts, Madeline (Adam) Roth of Orlando, Florida and Eve Miller of Los Angeles, California, his grandchildren Eitan, Ari, Aviva, and Eliana, and his beloved dogs Arthur, Gracie, Finn, and Georgia.
A Celebration of Life for Dr. Miller will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation (11200 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836) with Rabbi Shai Specht Sandler officiating.
