Edward Okun, MD. age 87, of Tesuque, New Mexico and Daytona Beach, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Cornerstone Hospice at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Okun was born on July 7, 1931, in Springfield MA, to the late Morris and Esther Chase Okun. In 1954, while a medical school student, he married the former Barbara-Rose Braham, his wife of some 53 years who predeceased him in 2007. They moved to St Louis in 1957 where Dr. Okun practiced and taught Ophthamology at Washington University. Locally, Dr. Okun is survived by his son Dr. Neil (Joan Sosnoff) Okun of Maitland. Funeral services and interment will be at B'nai Jacob Cemetery in W. Springfield, MA.
