Genrietta E. Chernaya of Orlando passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was 100 years old.

Mrs. Chernaya was born on January 29, 1922, in Klimovichi, Russia, to the late Evcy Chernay and Elaine Lev. She attended schools in Russia and worked as a bookkeeper. In 1941, she married her late husband, Grigory. They left Russia and came to the Orlando area in 1994, to be near their daughter and her family.

Mrs. Chernaya is survived her daughter Galina (Anatoly) Sobolevskiy of Orlando; her son Alexander (Lily) Cherniy of Moscow and Tel Aviv; her grandchildren Gary, Dmitri (Erica), and Elena and great-grandchildren Alec, April Yasmin and Shayna Rose.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, at 10:30 AM, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating.
