Miriam Kreindel, age 93, of Sarasota, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Lakeview West ALF. She was born on August 7, 1925, in New York, to the late Joseph and Celia Klein Diamond. She graduated from James Monroe High School and worked as an office manager in manufacturing for Alcoa Aluminum. Miriam met and married Melvin Spiegel and they had two sons. Following his death, she married Benjamin Kreindel and they relocated to the Orlando area in 1984. In Orlando, they became active members of the Williamsburg Jewish Congregation. Miriam also was a member of the Fab Follies, a Senior dance troupe, performing at Sea World and many other venues across Central Florida. After Mr. Kreindel passed away in 1996, Mrs. Kreindel remained in the Orlando area until relocating to Sarasota to be closer to her son. Mrs. Kreindel is survived by her sons, Dr. Jeffrey (Renee) Speigel of Sarasota and Dr. Robert Speigel of New Jersey; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her two brothers. A graveside service was held at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York.
