Mr. Alan M. Rakofsky, 81, of Merritt Island died Friday July 30, 2021 at Vitas Hospice following a brief illness. Mr. Rakofsky was born June 17, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Marvin & Sylvia (Silverman) Rakofsky and moving to the coast in 1969 from New York. He retired from United Space Alliance as a electrical technician and working with the space program at NASA for 44 years.

Mr. Rakofsky is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Phyllis (Brown) Kimbell-Rakofsky of Merritt Island; son, Andre Rakofsky of Cocoa Beach; daughters, Nancy (Jody) McDowell of Rockledge; Staci Lyons and Wendy Kimbell both of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Rakofsky will be held 1:00 PM Monday August 2, 2021 at Beth Israel Cemetery with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating.
