Saul W. Friedman, age 96, of Lake Mary, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. A native of Detroit, Michigan, was born on January 3, 1926, to the late Benjamin and Gussie Ketchker Friedman. Saul served in World War II in the Army Air Force. He was discharged in 1946, having earned the rank of Corporal. On March 26, 1949, in Detroit, he married the former Agnes Don, his wife of over 71 years who survives him. He owned and operated retail shoe stores. Saul and Agnes later lived in Delray Beach before relocating to Lake Mary in 2016. In addition to his wife, Saul is survived by his sons, Dr Michael (Roz) Friedman of Longwood and Dr Steven (Lori) Friedman of Merrick NY; his grandchildren Deborah (Ronnie) Bitman, Benjamin (Jessica) Friedman, Matthew (Alexandra) Friedman, and Julie Friedman; and his great-grandchildren Coby, Nathan, Jordan, Julian, Brooks and Henry. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry, and his sister, Bernice.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a family burial, with military honors, was held at Congregation Ohev Shalom Cemetery, with Cantor Allan Robuck officiating.
