Shirley Weiss Michael, age 85, of Maitland, FL, passed away on September 20, 2019, with her loving family by her side. Shirley was born on January 2, 1934, in Cleveland OH.
She was a beacon of light; always smiling, dancing and helping others. Her spirit will live on through her family and the legion of friends she cherished, making a lasting impact by her shining example.
Shirley was an active volunteer at Congregation Ohev Shalom in Maitland and was appreciated and loved by everyone young and old. As Miss Lollipop, she was a clown who brought cheer to many, including sick children at Give Kids the World.
Shirley was a loving mother to her three children, Karen, Ken and Beth; a loving wife to her husband, Alvin, who passed away in 2013; and a grandmother to seven and great-grandmother to one great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 23, 2019, in the Pavilion at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, 6034 Old Winter Garden Road, Orlando. There will be a Shiva Minyan on Monday evening at 7:00 PM at Congregation Ohev Shalom, 613 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland.
