Ivan R. Applebaum, Ed.D.

Ivan Applebaum died on February 15th, 2021, from Metastatic Prostate Cancer at the age of 85. Ivan was the son of the late Sara and Simon Applebaum and the brother of Allen Applebaum (Barbara).

Ivan leaves behind his wonderful wife, Sandra, married for 61 years; and his children Steven (Ahuva) and Howard. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ariel and Netanel.

Ivan worked as an aerospace Senior Systems Test engineer for 18 years at Martin Marietta Company.

Ivan taught Psychology for 37 years at Valencia Community College, Rollins College and the University of Central Florida.

Ivan and Sandy enjoyed traveling. They saw most of the U.S.A., western and eastern Europe, as well as, Israel, Egypt, Russia and China.

Ivan was a social tennis player for over 60 years and made many dear friends at the courts.

During his retirement, Ivan developed the skills of portrait drawing.

The funeral was held on Feb.17, at 2:00 PM at Congregation Ohev Shalom Cemetery, In memory of Ivan R.
