Mr. Donald (Don) Schaus, 85, of Montgomery, Alabama formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center, Montgomery, Alabama following a brief illness.

Mr. Schaus was born October 16, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late William Lester & Grace (Daymon) Schaus. In 1944 his parents moved to the “Golden Acres” area of Orlando just east of Conway. His father being military Don moved several times in his early childhood. He attended Union Park Elementary School, Howard Junior High, Cherokee Junior High and a 1958 graduate of William R Boone High School.

Mr. Schaus is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Marilyn (Beal) Schaus of Montgomery, Alabama; sons; Scott (Toni) Lunn of Orlando, Florida and Dale (Layne) Lunn of Montgomery, Alabama; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and his beloved Cookie.

Funeral Services for Mr. Schaus will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Winter Park (1021 North New York Avenue, Winter Park, Florida) with Dr. Walter Jackson officiating. Visitation for Mr. Schaus will be one hour prior to service in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Winter Park. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Florida.
