Beverly Joy Opper Rosenberg, 76, of Paterson, NJ, passed away on August 6, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. She was born on September 27, 1946. Beverly was a creative and generous individual who had a deep desire to help everyone. She was known for her loving and fierce nature, as well as her passion for teaching and videography. Beverly adored her family and her beloved pups.
Beverly's educational journey began at College High School where she met her husband, Stephen, and she later pursued her passion for dance as the first dance major at George Washington University. She went on to obtain a second bachelor’s in film from UCF and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Education. Throughout her life, Beverly excelled in various fields. She served as a teacher, videographer, fundraiser, a volunteer with the League of Women Voters registering voters, organizer of the K.A.R.E. Telethon for Orlando Health, key volunteer in helping the Nature Conservancy obtain a manatee sanctuary in Crystal River, and even made people smile as a clown. Her creativity and dedication shone through in everything she pursued.
In her free time, Beverly enjoyed closing the circles on her Apple Watch with her daughters, her weekly phone calls with her son, and taking her dog, Isabel, on destination walks with her loving husband, Stephen. These moments were cherished and brought her immense joy.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her husband of 55 years, Stephen J Rosenberg; her children, Reba, H. Lee, and Cathy; her grandchildren, Zoë, Elizabeth, Joe, and Sadie; her son-in-law, Mike; and her daughter-in-law, Brigitte; and Isabel her rescue puppy.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Rosenberg will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery (12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, New Jersey). May she rest in peace and may her memory always be a blessing.
Shiva will be held on Thursday, August 10, from 5-7 pm at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel at 835 Lee Road, Orlando, FL.
Beverly Joy Opper Rosenberg's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
