Rosalind Greenhut, age 97, of Altamonte Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at her residence. A native of Bronx, New York, she was born on November 18, 1922, one of four daughters born to the late Samuel and Ethel Bortner Fisher.
Mrs. Greenhut was a high school graduate and worked for nearly 40 years in the Assessor's Office in the City of New York. She was married to the late Adolph Greenhut for 25 years when he passed away in 1967. She remained in New York until relocating to the Orlando area in 1989, and became a member of the Congregation of Liberal Judaism (now Congregation of Reform Judaism).
Mrs. Greenhut is survived by her sons Richard (Marilyn) Greenhut of Apopka and Michael (Carmen) Greenhut of Long Island NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amy, Eric (Pam), Debbie, Steven, and Lynn and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son Kenneth.
Funeral services and interment will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 10AM at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cemetery, 9200 Morton Jones Road, Gotha FL.with Rabbi Steven W. Engel officiating.
